It's been a busy week for us here at the Little Shack. My husband is currently in the hospital recovering from an operation and we have been dealing with a ton of snow. Plus, I am getting some painting done while we are here. But, I have been wanting to make a banner for some time and decided to give it a go this week regardless!
This was a lot of fun to make (and I have many more ideas lurking in the back of my mind for more)! I used PicMonkey to create this. It is such a fun program to play with. Kind of addictive even.
Here is the way I put this together.
First, obviously, I printed out the letters on white card stock. I've put down how many of each you will need. If you want to have the banner as one long banner, I've included a blank one to put between the words.
So, after printing them out, I cut them out. In this step, you can decide how you want to attach them to your string. Either cut them out all the way around, or cut the 2 sides and then fold along the top. Snip of the part that shows when it is folded over. By leaving the top on and folding it over you can hang them on the string and arrange them while it's hanging up.
The other way to attach the flags is to pin them on with those cute mini clothes pegs you can pick up cheap at craft and dollar stores in little bags. Just clip the flags onto your string and you're done! You will need 2 for each letter, so a total of 32 for just the letters and then 4 more if you use the blanks.
I will be taking these back to the RV with us to hang up for Valentines Day. For now they are just hanging in my craft room here at the Little Shack.
